What we cover
We publish local business features, restaurant recommendations, shopping guides, historic attractions, events and practical services. We select neighbourhoods, institutions and landmarks according to the reader’s question and the actual location concerned.
Worcester city and the wider county
Worcester city is distinct from the wider Worcestershire county and region. Droitwich Spa lies north of the city, Malvern southwest, and Pershore southeast; Upton upon Severn is another separate town. They may be relevant regional destinations, but we do not present them as Worcester neighbourhoods.
Within the city, St John’s is west of the River Severn; Barbourne, Warndon, Diglis, Nunnery Wood, Blackpole and Shrub Hill each have their own location and context. We distinguish Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill stations from Worcestershire Parkway, which is outside the central urban area. City and county councils also have different responsibilities, so we direct readers to the relevant authority where possible.
Sources and changing details
We aim to use reliable sources close to the subject, such as Worcester City Council, Worcestershire County Council, a business, venue, event organiser, transport operator or public service. Business status, opening hours, rail and bus services, events, venue access and regeneration plans can change. We check current details where practical and encourage readers to confirm important information directly.
We do not invent businesses, addresses, prices, reviews, statistics, event dates or service coverage. We distinguish historical associations from current operations and proposals from completed developments. We do not infer current manufacturing or visitor access from a heritage connection, and avoid unsupported claims about crime, flood risk, pollution or individual communities.
Recommendations and commercial relationships
A listing or recommendation is not automatically paid for or endorsed. If content is sponsored or has another commercial relationship, we will identify it clearly. Commercial arrangements do not in themselves determine our editorial view. Our guides help readers compare available information but do not guarantee that a particular option is right for everyone.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error, email [email protected] with the page address, the detail in question and, if possible, a reliable source. We review correction requests and update material errors where appropriate. Minor edits may be made without a separate note; for a substantial correction, we may add an editorial note to the page.
A request from a business or individual does not automatically require us to remove content. We consider accuracy, relevance, privacy, safety and the public interest. We do not publish private personal information or unverified allegations about individuals.
Scope and limitations
Our guides are selective, not a complete directory of every business, service, attraction or event in Worcester or the wider county. Inclusion does not guarantee quality or availability, and absence does not imply criticism. Confirm important details with the organisation concerned.
